Super grateful for this comment that I received about the post:

"Thank you for shining a light on this, and sharing your experience. I am so sorry to hear that it was so hard to find inclusive resources. We should all have access to that.

I was hospitalized with anorexia over 20 years ago, and have lived with relapses of anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder. The times I was really sick seemed the most lonely and desperate of my life.

It is so amazing that you’ve dedicated your career to helping people work through what can be such a terrifying and shameful experience, and creating much needed resources. "

The one lesson I learned about this is, don't be afraid to seek help. Get support for yourself, that may work wonders.

That's very true. I may not have experienced what you went true, but I had something going on back then and your writing really hit me hard.

And another comment:

"Thanks for sharing your experience with this. I imagine it is even harder to be vulnerable about this when a male. I’m glad you are shining a light on this. My disordered eating is a frequent visitor."
