How to play games with Affirmations and make them more interesting
THIS IS GOLD!!
Thanks, Brent. I have had a lot of fun with these.
You and Brent need to go live together.
Yeah, we should make that happen.
When you think about it, the act of self love and promotion can be so easy and fulfilling. ❤️
You're right about that. More effort doesn't mean more effective. Play locks it in.
This is one of my favorite posts you've written Tim, thanks! I love the idea of hiding notes and sending myself a card.
#6 is my favorite affirmation!
Thanks, Donna. Number 6 is my all time favourite so far.
Number 37! I’ll be using that one tomorrow morning. 😎
I bet you make a super adorable badass, Barry
I like all the affirmations but that one sort of sticks out. 🙏
This is a great read— I know affirmations are usually for yourself, but I got an idea of putting affirmations in unsuspecting areas for Luke too :)
Haha! I imagine this could be quite effective on a spouse. I have left my wife a few messages, should up my game and leave a few more
It’s weird I often fall out of my morning affirmation routine.
They have tremendous effects on my mood and energy for the day.
“I’m calm, confident and energetic” must have been my most often used affirmation.
Thank you for bringing new suggestions, it’s time I mix mine up a bit.
Repetition with focus has some value. But affirmations run on emotion and meaning, and boredom is low on emotional impact.
Makes sense, I’ll mix things up.
Have a nice weekend Tim
Affirmations don’t work for me at all unless I keep things fresh and interesting. Hope you got some ideas that will work for you here!
That’s interesting!
I thought our brains would be more receptive to repetitive affirmations.
Whatever works, works😉
Love this! I am so much better at sticking to things when they are fun. Getting out the post-it notes today!
I wrote myself a couple after posting this.
Love the list! Takeaway especially powerful. Good stuff brother
Thanks, Kyle. Mental and emotional reps to make us stronger!
❤️❤️❤️👊🏻
I love this. We could all use more encouragement. I'll buy a post-it pad on the weekend and try this.
I used to write messages to myself in dry-erase marker on the bathroom mirror at night
Then I'd forget all about it and surprise myself in the morning. 😁
Another great place to load tomorrow's message is square in the middle of your computer screen. You'll definitely find that one.
#9 is my favorite, #6 made me laugh. I need to say #29 more to myself. Great post Tim!
#6 is great for those tougher days. Like going to visit the in-laws, or shopping at Walmart/ Costco, or trying to get up the courage to overthrow a small country. You know.
How about a big country? 😉
For a big country, use #10 as a supplementary affirmation
Right! 😃
I've never been too good at this but I'm inspired to give it a try especially by making it fun!
For me, it's a neat little game that I play during my regular work day.
